Acácia Maior is a collective of musicians created by Henrique Silva and Luís Firmino, roots and trunk of this tree that is beginning to flourish in the Cape Verdean musical horizon. Acácia, a predominant tree on the islands of Cape Verde, with roots that are well “rooted” in the traditional terrain, with branches and leaves extended to the universe, reflects the freedom of compositions that are expressed in the most varied musical styles. From Reggae to Zouk, from Morna to Mazurca, from Hip-Hop to Funaná. Creation, fusion and tradition are the motto for this collective’s journey without borders, which, in each work, brings together artists from different areas throughout the entire process, from writing to mastering.

Acácia Maior is an independent and self-supporting project, fueled by inspiration. The release of the debut album is scheduled for early 2022.
